Description
2025 Volvo Penta D8 MH IMO III Auxiliary Variable Speed Engine 300 HP
Volvo Penta D8 MH IMO III/EU Stage V Marine is a variable speed, in-line 6-cylinder, 7.7-liter diesel engine featuring common-rail fuel injection, an overhead camshaft, and a twin-entry turbo. This design contributes to efficient operating performance, along with lower emissions and reduced noise levels. It's engineered to handle high back pressure and high-sulfur fuel (1,000 ppm). The SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) exhaust aftertreatment system is designed for an optimal fit. The SCR unit, which also functions as a silencer, reduces noise by 35-40 dBA. Volvo Penta meets IMO III and Inland Waterway Stage V exhaust emission standards while maintaining consistent fuel consumption. Thanks to the SCR system, the engine power output remains unchanged.
Features May Include:
- Durable engine design
- Electronically controlled common-rail fuel system
- Advanced monitoring with Volvo Penta Marine Commercial Control System (MCC) or Electronic Vessel Control (EVC)
- Twin-entry turbo with pulse charging
- EMS electronic control system for optimized fuel efficiency
