Service/Parts Manager

Born and raised in Walker, Erick joined Walker Marine in 2017 and quickly became a customer favorite for his friendly personality and expert local knowledge. In 2023, he was promoted to Parts & Service Manager, where he continues to lead with the same dedication and small-town hospitality that define the Plattner family’s three generations of involvement in the company.

George Rudquist

With more than 20 years of experience working in the marine industry, George has been our shop foreman for nearly a decade. As a Mercury Marine and Mercruiser certified technician George’s vast knowledge of the ins-and-outs of boats of all shapes and sizes has permanently cemented his spot on our team.

Service Technician

Garret graduated from Alexandria Technical and Community College’s Marine, Motorcycle and Powersports program in 2022. Later that year, Garret was awarded the gold medal in SkillsUSA’s National Marine Service Technology competition. Service Technician/Rigging Specialist

Matt grew up vacationing in the area and has lived here permanently for more than 10 years. If your boat is here for electronics rigging, Matt is your guy. After installing dozens of depth finders and trolling motors, oftentimes with custom-made mounts and brackets, Matt became our foremost electronics installer.

Ram Weidenborner

Parts/Service Writer

Born and raised in Walker, Ram joined the Walker Marine team in 2020 after attending Central Lakes College in Brainerd, MN, where he graduated from the marine powersports program. Ram specializes in outboard motor and trailer servicing and can usually be seen zipping around the property, moving boats.
